A problem well stated is half solved

Today I hopped in my car, put the key in the ignition and tried to start my engine, but to no avail.

I could tell that my battery had died, since my dash even light up.

My near-frustration (not really) came from the fact that I had replaced my battery with a full-service to my car just 8 months ago.

I thought maybe the dead battery was my fault somehow. So I did some research and found out that a class action lawsuit has been settled regarding my vehicle's drainage issue; obviously without my knowledge.

The only current resolution for my car is a software update, as per my local Subaru service department. But I am yet to find an account of this solution working. And even still, the software update won’t fix the core computer issue that the settlement was originally filed for.

So here’s where I’m at: I MIGHT have a TEMPORARY fix for my car’s computer draining issue.

But when I first tried starting my car this morning, before I had articulated my problem, there was no chance of a solution. I had to accurately define my problem in order to find the fine-tuned solution that would (or hopefully WILL) work.

I’ll let you know what happens tomorrow.

My question for you today is:

There is at least 1 problem each of us are currently facing. Have you articulated your problem well enough to look for a solution?
