Have you reached your goals? Are you the type of person (now) that you wanted to become?
Most people haven’t been taught how to find out what it is they really want to do.
(Which is probably why we live in a time and place with the most mental health issues.)
How do we figure out what we want to do?
Is it a semantic process, like a formula? Can I take a test to figure it out? Or does life just happen to me, as I see myself as a victim-of-circumstance?
If you actually want success in life, you have to do what the successful people of the past have done. Not to copy them exactly, as P.T. Barnum points out:
“Unless a man enters upon the vocation intended for him by nature, and best suited to his peculiar genius, he cannot succeed.”
Do you know what your peculiar genius is? How different do you want your life to look 2 years from now?
You’ll get there if you start today. But you have to be willing to get to know yourself.
