You have more control than you think

Here are the top 5 Stresses Americans Face Daily:

  1. Travel to-and-from work.
  2. Cooking/preparing meals.
  3. Economic responsibilities (paying bills/buying groceries)
  4. Social expectations
  5. Subliminal programming (TV, advertisements, additional media sources)

The reality of external and internal stress is that you chose to feel it. 

You can decide you don’t want to feel stressed, but that’s difficult to do when you don’t know why you chose that feeling in the first place. 

Getting to the root of your stress-triggers takes extended conviction and mindfulness. 

When you want to get to the root of your stress, remember this quote from Eckhart Tolle, author of “The Power of Now”:

“Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it.”

Once you fully accept the moment is as it should be, then you’ll know the full control you have.
